Tuning is going to be fun. That is why there are two gate valves installed and a flow meter on order.

Nice foam... looks like it got some nasties on the perehrials. Glad to see you got it going!!! better watch out or that blob might escape!
This is great! Might I ask you do a more detailed summary on this build on this thread, if you don't mind?

That is fine. I actually wasn't ready for it skim. I was planning on a break in period. I don't even have a lid or drain line for it.
Titan II is already under construction. I will try and photo-document it more than the first.

damn nice skimage.!..... lol dose this skimmer suck all the water out of your tank when you turn it on? must hold like 5 gallons.... anyway yea i would like more details on this its supa kool
DAN- 11-14-2008
It holds exactly 3 gallons. That is still a lot of water.

Ouch. Like you said must have lots of room in the sump for a power outage. Or like I said you could dig a pit in the house to put the skimmer in for a more respectible amount of water returned in a failed power event. Keep us posted on the next build - If time and location allows, I'd like to come by.

I want to make one thing looks like it dose a great job like chris said keep us posted

Update This thing is really starting to pump out some nasty crud. It is not fully up to speed yet as the optimal water level is just slightly above the last joint, which is not glued for cleaning purposes.
