Yes Looking very good!!! I want to see the shots of your plumbing and electrical diagrams too! Also did you build that stand or buy it?
How did the 'attempt' to paint the back black go? When is the water in tank date proposed?
Ha ha... I shouldn't talk...

I am planning on finishing the sump today or tomorrow (I think the glass shop lost my order). I should be able to finish the plumbing once that is done. My plumbing should end up looking a lot like Josh's. One return to the skimmer and one return split between the fuge and skimmer.
Electrical will be a ball of wires.
The stand and canopy is the Mission Series that goes with AGA tanks.
The paint on the back went well other then I should have worn a mask, I breathed in WAY too much paint/paint fumes.
Water-
I am currently waiting on having a seperate electrical line ran for the tank. The plugs behind the tank are on a circuit that is only a 15 (and shared with another room) so I will be running another 20 so I will have both. (also adding GFCI plugs) As soon as this is done I am going to add water even if the plumbing isn't done, I should be able to get the rocks started.

that skimmer just made me touch myself in an impure manner.
i cant wait to get back and see it in action.

If it makes Josh do that then I must come see it...

The new circuit is in (along with changing the old to GFI).
I -*test*-('")ed the sump and put it in place.
I have plently of room to take the cup off of the skimmer, getting it out sump due to the cross braces is a little tricky.

give yourself a bit more room and cut the brace out. you dont need it anymore. the load is only on the bottom half of the tank which is plenty strong itself and each baffle is basically a brace. I guarantee you wont have an issue. ;)
Chris Bovia- 07-22-2008
I concur with Josh. You'll be happier without the center brace and I'd cut it out now and clean up the shavings before putting it in place. I however, coming from the sued to the bejeasus world of geotechnical consulting, would not guarantee doing this but I would do this myself. So I says I you got that going for you... ;)
camlov2- 07-22-2008
I would agree with you guys but I am talking about the brace under the 125. Hopefully that will change your opinion.
Hey Josh, want to do some plumbing?
Chris Bovia- 07-22-2008
Umm... Cross brace in the stand.... I see and understand. I'd have to see how it is constructed. Most tank stands are over built but thats a good thing. But that is certainly something to consider... Good luck!
Rysam- 07-22-2008
oh, that brace. you may want to leave that one.
I cant do any plumbing until mid next week. im going wheeling on the rubicon at 6am tomorrow until monday and my anniversary is tuesday.

Water>>>IN!
The plumbing isn't done, so what?
Chris Bovia- 07-23-2008
YEAH!!!! :bannana: cool beans! wait.... no plumbing???!@?! You're a brave one aren't you
camlov2- 07-23-2008
What is the worst that can happen?
I think anything that could go wrong without the plumbing done could also happen with it done.
(as long as I don't fill above the overflows) ;)
