My new 90
Also, I would like to put in a Sump. Can I put in a sump w/o drilling?

Yes, it requires you have an overflow aparatus. I've been running mine for over 6 years now and had no failures. However, I am upgrading to a Reef Ready (drilled) tank for asthetics and comfort over the overflow.
Nice pics and looks like you're off to a good start! Thanks for posting your pics here.
Looks like you might be one that could surely benefit from a club frag swap!

well since I don't have an overflow I better atleast get a good skimmer. I have a sea clown 100 now and it sucks!

I'd look into getting an overflow (no drilling) and a sump. You'll thank yourself in the long run!

Looking good!! If you go with a HOB skimmer Octopus makes a good one for a decent price. Or the Remora's work well for HOB skimmers

If I had to buy a HOB skimmer again I would opt for a Remora. I've used prizms and they've worked ok but I've heard nothing but postive things from Remora owners.

IMO you are better off not having a skimmer then using a Prizim...................ooops did I say that out loud

Well interestingly enough I turned off my prizm when I installed the MARS DIY skimmer. Prizm uses a 7W pump. MARS skimmer a 70W pump. After three weeks of running the MARS skimmer I ended up with no more skimmate than I did with the Prizm. Off with the MARS skimmer and back to the Prizm. No problems. Works fine. But I do plan to use the MARS skimmer on my upgrade.
You know I laugh each time I see an old 70's or older truck out on the road.... but then right after, I admire those who stuck with them as the may not be pretty but they do the job they were designed for and are still working, even if they are outdated. In relation my skimmers are now six years old.
I still pull out some of the nasty, foul-smelling skimmate from these skimmer (one on each tank). And as Calfo states - if you think you don't need to skim then why don't you try drinking the stuff in the collection cup as that's what would have been in the water column if it wasn't removed. No Thanks!!! Using only 7W, I think these guys do a fair job. Sure, once made - several better mousetraps have been made. Afterall, very rarely does true innovation occur but instead in this information age it is all leap-frog technology.
Sorry, the economy and my personal economic situation has got me ranting  . Sorry to hi-jack you thread further.

Well, I had the sea clown skimmer like i previously stated! But, that one died on me so I bought a slightly used remora skimmer it's the remora pro and it seems to be working great! I have not had much skimmate yet being that is a new tank but, the big pump seems to be working good!
