My official resignation from Vice president This is my official resignation as Vice President of the Chico reef club. Due to personal reasons i feel it is necessary for me to step aside. I am still a member and will be active within the club and on the forum boards I will just no longer have any position of officerishness. This is a decision that I have pondered for some time and feel now it is an appropriate thing to do. The club is strong and will succeed, and possibly after my family grows up a bit and my life slows down some(more) I will be able to fill another board position. I will stay on as admin here with matt to show that im not going anywhere. :D , so continue to feel free to hit me up for anything you need or want !!

Thanks Josh for continuing on with the club and maintaining the admin or webmaster hat! Your efforts as VP and heading the frag swap committee were great and I am sure appreciated by all. I totally understand your reasons for stepping down at this time.
We look forward to a DIY live rock update and maybe review in a couple of months as well as your other positive active contributions to the club such as admin/moderator to this web forum.
Plus, since your new lights and overall DIY improvements to your tank, I think a Tank visit to Josh's tank in Paradise after a meeting later this year would be a well worth visit for those willing to make the drive up the hill - that is if you're up for it. ;)
But all things in time. Let us know when you're ready. :D
Thanks for the post.

Sorry, Josh the song words were just a joke in poor taste. Really hate to see you leaving as VP

What is the status of the club these days? It seems to be moving in the opposite direction these days. Are you guys still trying to get NP status? Other then Chris do we have any board members?
Just curious.
Thanks
Rob

Yes! Thanks for asking!
Melissa is still the secretary and via her husband and myself, handling the treasurer as well.
Matt is our Librarian who to my knowledge holds a hand-held TDS meter available for checkout.
Josh for the most part is the contact and administrator for the website as far as I know but I believe he would like that hat transfered. Since I know Matt also did some work to help create or beta--*test*-('") for a lack of better wording, maybe I can get him to take this hat.
And of course myself.
The paperwork needs to be completed and submitted for NP. As for the club moving the opposite direction... things like this happen as I've been told are simply growing pains. I've spoke with officers in other clubs and said startup situations like this happen and even on their boards from time to time. Time will tell what direction the the economy and therefore, the club goes. And as long as this situation is a 1970's one we'll be fine. If however, if it is a 1930's situation.... let's just hope for the best.

i have no issues being the middleman. i just dont have the desire to hold a board position.

I would like to point out the fact that a down turn in attendance, or activity in this hobby seems to occur every summer.
Hi everyone!

Thanks Brian (Twisted)!!!!
Glad to see you made it back.
WELCOME.
Yup. I expect it to pick back up a bit soon.
Anyone want to have a smaller, local frag swap? Say the end of next month?

I think if you found a place to hold a small casual frag swap, with limited rules so it is easy to maintain, you can probablly get quite a few people to show up just out of fun.
If you are talking like a with in the club swap, I am sure we could make something work.
