Pay it forward with coral Rick mentioned to me the other night about a pay it forward coral idea. basically you give someone a frag of something nice, and when its big enough to frag that person gives someone else a frag and keeps the original colony. that way everyone gets a chance to have some cool stuff. im sure everyone has at least 1 frag they could spare. it sounds like a cool idea.

Sounds like a pretty cool idea! I've read about people doing it on the MARS site as well as BAR and think it's great. The issue a lot of people have had with it has been it's whoever can get online the fas-*test*-('") gets it... which is kinda a downside but with our club not as much of an issue.

I tried that idea of giving my friends coral and telling them that they need to pass more on when it got bigger or give someone another frag of one of their other pieces. I found that they usually killed my piece they got for free. If they paid $10 for it then they placed it in a better location and did a water change before they got it. I guess I know some lazy reefkeepers, but I did notice a downside, and am still not turned off to the idea.
I would put op some frags if there was a spot, I think it should go to people with the least amount in their tank, (not people with 2 and 3 other tanks either). Then others could vote or something and make a game of it.

I love the idea... I dont know about necessarily making a game out of it but more just offering it up at the meeting or even donating to the club raffle.
