September 2008 Meeting
Greetings All! Our September meeting will be September 12, 2008. I will not be able to attend as I will be in LA with my family. I have not coordinated an specifics or events yet for this months meeting. However, having a few of the original-styled meetings is a pretty good idea for now. That is simply a group of people that have interest in reef or saltwater aquariums gather, eat pizza/salad, drink, and share their stories and interests. It is a much better way for all of us to get to know each other and more about what and why they are in-*test*-('")ed in the hobby. I did attend the MARS meeting with Charles Deebek who is now at the Steinheart Aquarium. He did a talk about Tridacna clams but the parts I mostly recalled was about Steinheart's new building and upcomming opening at the end of September. I was planning on sharing that experience but that will have to wait. If anyone wants to show their tank after the September meeting, please feel free to volunteer here and be prepared to provide directions at the meeting. Again, anyone with a tank - from the new startup - to the coolest tank this side of Nevada, should volunteer. I guarantee you'll find that people will get to know you better, learn something for themselves about how you might have done something for your setup, might be interested in some of your coral (fragged), or would be willing to help fill in your empty tank. I would be happy to show mine in October pending relocation.
