Unusual pets
so shan and I were talking about a replacement for my old fatty pitbull when she finally goes and came across potbellied pigs. I'm not going to get one but it did look cool. so what kind of unusual pet do you own or want to own? The most unusual critters we own are the girls and their 2 ft black and white king snake named snakey. he's between 1 and 2 yrs old. EDITED for brian.

I had to laugh, when I read your post my mind added a period making the statement "The most unusual critter we own is the girls." I deal will enough unusual critters each day in class (the students), we are limited to bunnies and fish at home.

haha that's funny stuff right thurrr... My most unusual critter I've wanted to own is a dolphin... Ever since I was a kid I have wanted one and my aquatic obsession doesn't help. Maybe one day I will have billions and can own a dolphin tank! It's highly unlikely but ya never know.

ha ha. As a kid, I used to catch or have lizards frogs fish ants birds hamsters... you name it, it was Chris' farm. Though now it is stayed at reef aquariums yet only a dog, most likely a lab, is certainly in our future. My early attempts to keep animals taught me a lot about what I am capable of keeping and what should be kept.

I have had a lot of pets in my life ranging from ant, to fresh water fish, saltwater fish, ferrets, several breeds of dogs, rats, guines pigs, rabbits, Parakeets. I almost bought a redtail hawk to start doing falconry, and I still might in the future, it just take more dedication then salt water tanks. I almost bought a Hedgehog one time to. One of the most unusual I have looked into online was a sugerglider, I can not have another ferret which was one of my favorite pets, and a sugerglider is cool, but if you stray from the proper diet on them, the develop a diesease in thier hind legs. When I was looking at exotic pets, I was looking for something very unusual like Fennec fox http://www.juliesjungle.com/fennecfox.php

I wanted a Fennec Fox for the longest time. I contacted the only two breeders I could find in CA, and was on a waiting list. The more I learned about them, the less interested I became. So I settled for some exotic cats. Between my girlfriend and I we have: 1 Lynx Point Snow Bengal (Domestic crossed with an Asian Leopard Cat) 1 Seal Mink Snow Bengal (Same as above, but different color pattern) 1 Singapura (Smallest domestic cat)

I've never heard of the Singapura, but the other two are beautiful.
